Professional experience

Jonathan has a wide ranging civil practice. Most of his work is in commercial dispute resolution, with particular focus on partnership and shareholder disputes. He is also regularly instructed in the fields of professional liability, professional discipline, real estate litigation and product liability. He has appeared in many significant cases including in the Inner House of the Court of Session, the House of Lords and the Supreme Court.  He appears regularly in professional disciplinary tribunals.

Notable cases

Jonathan’s commercial work focuses particularly on partnership and shareholder disputes, insolvency and commercial property. He also acts regularly in professional liability cases, particularly those arising from commercial transactions. He maintains an active professional regulatory practice, with particular focus on solicitors. He also regularly acts in product liability cases, typically for manufacturers and often involving medical devices.
