Testing the limits of devolved competence: lessons from Scotland and Northern Ireland
David will discuss recent challenges to the legislative competence of various pieces of devolved legislation and the procedural and substantive issues arising.
Morag Ross KC
Austerity, human rights and public law litigation
What impact do economic and cost of living pressures have on public law litigation? What are the implications, in the legal context, for public bodies, for the provision of services and for actual and would-be litigants? Morag will consider questions of meeting needs, human rights and access to justice when resources are scarce.
Julian Ghosh KC
Retained EU Law Revocation and Reform Bill
Julian will speak on specific problems which arise from the Bill, in particular problems of construction and application which have both practical and constitutional consequences.
