Product Liability
Product liability law is concerned with loss and injury caused by defective or dangerous products. Product liability litigation can give rise to complex technical and scientific issues, as well as difficult legal questions. In the case of a widely used product, the potential liability may have significant commercial consequences.
The Court of Session in Edinburgh recently dealt with one of the most challenging product liability cases of recent years, McTear v. Imperial Tobacco Limited.
