Christine Ferguson
Practice Manager

In nearly 27 years as an Advocates' Clerk, Christine has built up a strong reputation with solicitors.

Before coming to the Faculty in 1980 as its first female Clerk, Christine ran the Court Department at a busy solicitors' firm. She established and ran her own 'Stable' (group of Counsel) from 1981. She was the Clerk in the Ferguson Stable until April of this year when she joined Axiom Advocates as a Practice Manager. She is the most experienced Clerk employed by Faculty Services Limited.

For a long time all the leading firms of solicitors have regularly sought and relied upon Christine's advice. She has developed strong working relationships with many solicitors.

In recent years Christine has particularly focussed on developing commercial work, as well as work in the area of public law.

Christine has extensive knowledge of the legal profession and of the court system. She is highly regarded by Counsel and solicitors for her constructive attitude and the practical advice she can give about all aspects of instructing an advocate.
