Judicial Appointment for Axiom member

We at Axiom Advocates warmly congratulate Paul Cullen QC on his appointment as a Senator of the College of Justice in Scotland. He takes up his appointment with effect from 14th November, 2008.
Paul is a graduate of Edinburgh University. He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1982. In his time as a junior counsel, Paul served as Clerk of Faculty. He was also an Advocate Depute, prosecuting in the High Court, between 1992 and 1995. He took silk in 1995. From 1995 to 1997, he was Solicitor General for Scotland. Paul returned to practice at the Scottish Bar in 1997. Since then he has enjoyed a very successful practice, specialising in commercial and public law. Latterly, he also acted as a Chairman of the Police Appeal Tribunal and of the Appeal Committee for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Paul was one of the founding members of Axiom Advocates. He has contributed greatly to the success we have achieved to date, and we all wish him well in his new role.
