Roisin Higgins practised as a solicitor for two years before calling to the Bar. Since then, she has pursued a practice in commercial law and has developed a particular specialism in intellectual property law. She appears primarily in the Court of Session, though has also appeared in the Sheriff Court, at arbitration and in various tribunals.

She has a significant amount of court experience, both in proofs and debates and, particularly, in applications for interim interdict.

In addition, Roisin frequently gives talks and lectures, for the Law Society of Scotland and also private organisations, on the topic of intellectual property law.
