Prior to commencing his legal career, Mark Lindsay worked as an energy consultant in Boston MA, as a congressional intern in Washington D.C. and as legal assistant in a firm of solicitors in Wellington NZ.

After qualifying as a solicitor he worked as a solicitor in the Scottish Office, where he specialised in judicial review work.

In 1996 Mark called to the Bar. During 2000 he was appointed Standing Junior Counsel to the Home Secretary.  Since calling to the Bar his practice has consisted mainly of judicial review work, commercial litigation and professional negligence work.
