A graduate of St Andrews University and Edinburgh University, Miranda trained and subsequently practised as a solicitor for several years in Edinburgh, where she built up extensive experience in the field of litigation and other forms of dispute resolution open to clients in the construction, engineering, oil and gas industries. She gained experience of advising both domestic and internationally-based clients.
Since calling to the Bar, Miranda has been instructed mainly in commercial actions in the Court of Session, with particular emphasis in the areas of building and engineering contracts and professional negligence disputes. She has also gained experience in the areas of trusts, European law, public procurement, intellectual property, property law and mediation. She also frequently appears in the Sheriff Court.
