Alastair Duncan called to the Bar in 1999. He is extensively instructed in commercial and public law matters. He has a particular interest in relation to professional liability and discipline. He regularly acts on behalf of solicitors, counsel, clinicians and other professionals. He has prosecuted and defended disciplinary proceedings. He has conducted appeals to the Court of Session in relation to such proceedings. Alastair has a wide-ranging commercial practice and is regularly instructed in particular in relation to banking and partnership disputes. He has an interest in and has undertaken cases in relation to sports law.
As regards public and administrative law, Alastair has been a Standing Junior to the Scottish Government since 2006. He has conducted a variety of judicial review, statutory appeal, extradition appeal and other public and administrative law cases.
