Anna Poole is First Standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government. Her principal areas of legal practice at the bar are public law, judicial review, human rights and EU law.
Anna studied law at Oxford University. Prior to becoming an advocate in 1998, she qualified as a solicitor both in England and Scotland, and worked at Linklaters in London and Brodies WS in Edinburgh. She has tutored at Edinburgh University. She was appointed Standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government in 2002; Second Standing Junior in 2009; and First Standing Junior in 2010.
