Her commercial work has included banking law, interpretation of commercial contracts, insurance law, insolvency law, company law and shareholders’ remedies. She has extensive experience in judicial reviews. She has acted for central and local government in a wide range of matters, including cases concerning Convention rights and Community law, planning, licensing, disability equality duties, procurement, property dealings and regulatory matters (principally for DTI/Department of Business Skills and Innovation, and OFT).
Sarah also has an established advisory practice for local authorities in the foregoing areas, as well as on environmental issues, contractual and property matters, right-to-buy under the housing legislation, police regulation and pensions, personal and free care for the elderly, and assessment of deprivation of capital in residential care costs.
